Principal’s Message

 

St Mary of the Cross MacKillop was an incredibly inspiring woman, who dedicated her life to providing children and young people with an authentic Catholic education. It is in her footsteps, and in her name as our patroness, that MacKillop Catholic College seeks to emulate her vision for the education of the students of the Palmerston and surrounding regions. St Mary MacKillop’s faith in and love of God allowed her to achieve remarkable things in her lifetime, and this legacy continues to this day to have a profound impact on the lives of our young people right across our nation. MacKillop Catholic College is interested in the formation of the whole person. We desire our students to encounter the person of Jesus Christ in their spirit, to develop physically through our strong Physical Education and Outdoor pursuits and to form their minds as they strive for academic excellence. We have state-of-the-art resources here at MacKillop Catholic College, and we pride ourselves on the broad range of electives we have to offer to our students.
