Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology (ICT20115)

This course provides an introduction for learners interested in working in an IT or digital media environment.  Through studying the course you will gain knowledge and skills in a wide range of interest areas, such as:

Technical support: Setting up a computer is a fundamental foundation of the ICT industry … sometimes computers just do not work!  Basic support is being able to setup a computer, find out what is wrong with a machine (diagnostics) and then communicate that to the client.

Imaging: is the visual representation of objects you can see.  Digital imaging or digital image acquisition is the creation of digital images. The term is often assumed to imply or include the processing, compression, storage, printing, and display of such images. Imaging is the foundation of the digital media in IDMT. What is important is being able to produce different images for different uses and to also produce the same image for different uses.

Website design:  Having a web presence, web applications, e-commerce, social media marketing, content management systems and e-mail marketing are all part of business these days.  Business and life are bound with the internet, the web. Here the uploaded product is a simple, functional business web site.

Photography and digital editing: A very practical module orientated towards preparing and editing photo content to produce documents for publication.
